Independent Product Reviews

From Melanie,

Having realised just how handy the OZtrail (deluxe) gazebo is, I decided to add a mesh wall to the picture. So I placed my order and a few days later a small brown paper parcel arrived. Very happy with my purchasing experience once again.

As with the gazebo, the mesh wall is very easy to install although I don't think that "install" is the right word as it implies far more work than is actually involved. It's simply a matter of locating the top corner of the wall (there's a hook sewn in to each top corner and velcro patches along the outside edge so it's not too tricky) and hooking the top corners on to the metal rings located at the top of the gazebo legs. Then you attach some velcro in a few locations and peg each side of the wall. Easy peasy.

Each side of the wall is a zip - it doesn't look like it would be too difficult to attach another wall using that. As to the mesh itself, it's quite soft and very light - not scratchy like the mesh on a screen door.

You can roll the wall up and secure it with toggles (same things as on tent windows). One wall is great but I think I will need some more. They're easy to add-on and apparently do a good job of keeping out insects (prob useful to have more than one wall to really test this one out!). You can see through the mesh wall very clearly, a bit like having sunglasses on. It also cuts out the glare of the sun a bit.

The velcro is obviously good quality as it's been up a for a few days now and the wind has been howling but everything is still right where it ought to be.

As a whole it's stronger than I expected - my 21 month old seemed to think it worked quite well as a sort of sideways trampoline. I thought this might just do some damage but no, it has remained intact despite him throwing himself at it hard enough to pull the pegs out of the ground.

In some cases we may end up sending the order via Australia Post or on a different freight company (Hunter Express, Toll Ipec, TNT, Fastway Couriers, Brizfreight, etc) if we find their prices to be cheaper and/or their delivery time to be quicker to your location. If we use a different freight company and we find their charges to be cheaper we will refund the freight amount you have been overcharged.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Hi I'm looking at selling art from one of your gazebos st markets...Do you sell mesh walls I could hang art off? If not do you have any alternative suggestions? Thanks in advance (Jan 2014)
-Judtin

A: We do sell mesh side walls for the gazebos but they are just an insect mesh material, they don't have the strength to hang anything off. I have seen a few market stall holders use a piece of galvanised (fencing) mesh that attaches to each leg of the gazebo to hang things off but it's not something we or Oztrail sell so I'm not sure where they are getting it from.
